There are no prescribed eligibility criteria for candidates appearing for GMAT test. The criteria are based on the admission requirement of the business schools. There are no age or gender restrictions and the candidates from across the globe are eligible for the test. The minimum age limit is 18 years; meanwhile, aspirants below 18 years of age need to get written permission from parents or guardian. The aspirant can take the exam five times within a year; the minimum wait period is 16 days between two exams, the candidate with a perfect score of 800 has to wait for five years, and the candidate must follow the rules of testing and registration strictly.

A Bird’s Eye View Of GMAT Exam Pattern

The GMAT exam is a computer based test and falls into the following sections, Analytical Writing Assessment, Integrated Reasoning, Quantitative and Verbal. The exam can be taken throughout the year. There is no registration process. The Test score can be erased, and the test can be taken after 16 days of the previous test. Analytical Writing

Analytical Writing Assessment has one topic and the time limit is 30 minutes.

Quantitative Aptitude

Quantitative Aptitude has 20 and 17 question involving Problem Solving and Data Sufficiency respectively for 75 minutes.

Integrated Reasoning

The Integrated Reasoning section has 12 questions including Graphical Interpretation, Multi source reasoning, two part analysis and table analysis for 30 minutes.

Verbal Reasoning

Verbal Reasoning has Reading Comprehension, Sentence Correction and Critical Reasoning with 15, 15 and 11 questions respectively with a time limit of 75 minutes.

GMAT Syllabus – Understanding the test structure

GMAT is an adaptive computer test. The test falls into four sections including Analytical Writing Assessment, Integrated Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Reasoning. The Analytical Writing Assessment includes 200-300 word essays. Integrated Reasoning is solving elementary level reasoning. Quantitative aptitude deals with Mathematics from Class 8 to 10. The difficulty level is not higher than school level. Verbal Reasoning is English language testing. The word selections are moderate.
