SAT - Exam Pattern – Get The Latest
Achieva, renowned SAT training online center with years of experience in training students for SAT, strictly follows the exam pattern to give the students an edge over competitors. SAT is divided into two sections SAT Reasoning Test and SAT Subjects Test. These patterns are different from each other. The former accesses the reading, writing and mathematical skills of the student, while the latter accesses the subject knowledge of the candidate. The test pattern was changed with effect from March 2016 by the College Board. The important change being the score will be for a total of 1600 with the Evidence Based Reading/Writing, and Mathematical sections will be put at the` scale of 200 to 800 points. There are no negative marks.
The total duration of SAT is for 3 hours. However, 50 minutes extra is given for essay writing which is optional. SAT pattern is divided into four sections, Evidence based reading and writing, Reading test, writing and language test and Mathematics with optional essay writing. There are 154 questions and one essay with questions being objective. In the writing section there are 44 questions for 35 minutes, Critical Reading there are 52 questions for 65 minutes, Mathematics there are 57 questions for 80 minutes time duration.
